I met someone who was referred to my business at a Starbucks where we have our outreach every Saturday. Afterwards, I visited with S.R, who seemed under the weather. I did not bring my chair as it was supposed to be a quick visit. She has not gotten much sleep and with the weather dancing between warm, hot, chilly and cold, it has started to affect her sinuses. While we were catching up, I looked up and there was a beautiful hawk sitting on top of a light post right next to where we were talking. She said that he is there often. I was able to capture a picture, which she wanted. She has been trying to get a picture of him for some time and he either flies away, or the picture is not clear.
I enjoyed talking with S.R while we both enjoyed a drink from Starbucks. We both wish I had had more time to visit, and she now not only misses me, but my chair! If she doesn’t see my chair, it means I will not be staying long, and she enjoys our talks.
I asked her if she was able to find a place to rest and sleep as she did not look like she was feeling well. She wanted to stay there as she needed to make money to help with food and a place to sleep. She texted me at 6pm – she decided to leave and get some rest. My heart was overjoyed that she was taking care of herself!
