We have had a lot of wonderful clothing donations! Over the past few weeks with temperatures getting colder in the mornings, we have been handing out fall and winter clothing along with the sandwich bags. We bring boxes of women’s and men’s long-sleeve shirts, sweaters, long pants and jackets. At first, they are hesitant to look at the clothes because they are not sure if we are selling them. When they find out they are free, we see smiles, tears and have had folks say their prayers were answered as they were getting cold and looking for warmer clothing.
It has been wonderful being able to bless others with the clothing they need, and are very grateful for all those who have donated the clothes to make this happen! We are in need of men’s winter clothes and jackets. We also have one woman who is a size 2 – 3x and in desperate need of clothing and a winter jacket.
When I return from handing out the lunch bags and clothes, I take about 30 min to an hour to organize the bins again and put any new donations in the appropriate boxes. My car has been a really good place to sort the different types of clothes!
