STORIES FROM OUR OUTREACH

We meet every Saturday in Raleigh, NC, to walk around and meet individuals and families who are struggling financially and are in need of things that we tend to take for granted – a roof over our head, food to eat, transportation, etc.  These are stories about the people we encounter each week as we get to know folks and build a community of people helping people!

TINY HOME PROJECT

Gene Call is working with Corey Purdie with Home Transitional Network to build tiny homes for individuals through G.R.A.C.E.  The first tiny home was built in October 2022 for Mr. Kevin a Craven County man who suffers from Charcot neuroarthropathy.

A MESSAGE FROM GENE

Gene Call is working with A HAND UP and Home Transitional Network to assist individuals and families to get back on their feet through building tiny homes, assisting them with resources and sharing the path to Jesus with them so that they are held and loved through life’s ups and downs.

THE LUKE PROJECT

This is the work of Melanie Paul, who spent 50+ years searching for God within different religions and through the ups and downs of life, to have found Jesus through the reading of Luke.

Melanie decided to share who she came to know of Jesus through the readings with others who may be searching as well.  This is still a work in progress.

READING THROUGH THE BIBLE

Melanie Paul has been reading through the Bible, each day, one chapter at a time.  The insight that has been received as a result has been life changing and has really helped her when going through life’s ups and downs!

She shares this journey with others in the hopes that they may learn to rely on Jesus as well through the ups and downs of life.

Herod’s Confusion

Herod’s Confusion

Luke 9: 7-9 When Herod Antipas, the ruler of Galilee, heard about everything Jesus was doing, he was puzzled.  Some were saying that John the Baptist had been raised from the dead.  Herod had John the Baptist beheaded, so could not understand how the person he was...

Deuteronomy 9

Moses reminds Israel of their rebellion against God on the journey from Egypt to the land they are about to possess in Canaan.  God makes sure that Israel is aware that they are not defeating and entering the land of Canaan due to anything that they have done.  They...
